SENIOR ANTERLESS SEASON

OCTOBER 20th-22nd =
The first day I spotted one very small antlerless deer, but it was too small for me this early in the hunt.
I walked around in the afternoon and jumped a small 4 pointer. Friday was a complete BUST...
RAIN ,RAIN and more RAIN.
I had to work Saturday but went to the "doghouse blind" after work and saw nothing, the wind was terrible. I spent more time trying to keep the blind from blowing over than looking ...LOL


REGULAR ARCHERY SEASON

OCTOBER 26TH =
I decided to just sit in the ground blind from 4pm to dark. There has been very, very little deer activity during daylight ... sooooo
I decided to just sit and watch. Just as luck would have it ==== I had two does and an 8pointer in front of me around 25-30 yards away, broadside for about 15 minutes ....
OCTOBER 27TH =
I got into my ground blind at 11:30am ..raining .. this deer showed up at 11:43am ... walked around for 1/2 hour and finally gave me a shot from the blind .. it is now at the butcher's shop .. yeah ..back straps this week-end !!!!


OCTOBER 30TH =
I got my venison back from the butcher yesterday, and grilled up some butterfly steaks and the tenderloins this evening .. they were delicious !!!

OCTOBER 31ST =
I sat in my ground blind after work for an hour and saw NO DEER ...
Deer still showing up during the night on the trail camera in that area.
Still hoping to see that 8 pointer in shooting hours though..

NOVEMBER 1ST =
I went back to the ground blind for an hour after work and again no deer showed up before dark
Oddly enough there were no pictures of deer on the trail camera last night either ??

NOVEMBER 2nd =
What an amazing warm day for November, waited until 3pm for hunting . I sat in the ground blind until 6pm and then called it a day. As luck would have it after a warm wonderful day it decided to start raining here at 5:45pm.. UNBELIEVABLE !!!!
I'll get into the blind just before 7am tomorrow for my first morning hunt.. IF ... it isn't raining, which it may be ...
ARCHERY SEASON SUMMARY

I spent quite a few more hours in my blinds but the results were the same .. NO DEER sightings in the daylight.. ????
Had the 8 point and three does shows up anywhere from an hour after dark to an hour before daylight .. nothing during the day anywhere ???
RIFLE SEASON

NOVEMBER 28TH =
Hunted all day saw 3 deer.. I missed the 8 pointer in the morning, which is now a half rack buck. I searched to make sure I totally miss the buck.
I "jumped" 2 does while looking for any sign ... weather was in the 40s... Can't get out until Wed and Thurs..
but rain is in the forecast.. rained out for rest of rifle season ..bummer..............
